BEGINNERS -Learn to spin in the beautiful setting of South Wales. This one-day workshop is designed to introduce you to pleasures and delights of being able to produce your own hand-spun yarn from wool. It is informal, fun and educational. You will learn all the basics to get you from a fleece to a skein of yarn.  you will learn how to card and prepare fleece and the basic spinning and plying techniques using a drop spindle.

There will be refreshments on arrival as we get to know each other before moving into the studio where you'll be able to explore the ways in which wool and fibre is spun into yarn.  The morning and afternoon sessions are broken up with  a lovely home-cooked lunch and if the weather is nice you can even take a stroll around the beautiful grounds before resuming your spinning in the afternoon session..

You'll complete the day by having produced beautiful and unique, skein(s) of yarn hand-spun by ‘ewe’.
